My week seeking utopia

Even though this week has been half term (which in the UK is a week off halfway through the academic term), it’s still been full on. I started working at a wonderful vegetarian/vegan health food shop and cafe a couple of weeks ago, and it’s turned out to be the most perfect job. I’m surrounded by the loveliest people, incredible food and products, and find myself smiling all day long. This past week I’ve been working there quite a bit, and was also given the opportunity to have barista training at Origin Coffee which was so fascinating. I’ve never been interested in coffee (drinking it or making it) but the passion of this ethical company and the care that goes into their products has really got me hooked. I still don’t think I’ll be a coffee drinker (I find it too much zing for my system!) but I can appreciate the quality, care and people that go into the whole process. 

Anyway, besides from that, here’s 3 things that made me happy this week:

(toothbrush: for being sustainable, eco friendly, and actually good. Toothpaste: for being organic, fluoride free, actually working on my sensitive teeth, and leaving my teeth feeling so fresh!)

 

4. this amazing bakery (especially the focaccia)

(for being organic, very slow risen, and so so yummy!! And for having such an interesting range of breads, from kamut, emmer, and turkish to focaccia, wholemeal and seeded)
