February Favourites

If you follow me on Instagram or have read this post then you’ll probably have seen some of my beautiful products from Scaramanga. They’re a fantastic shop who make and sell ethical handmade leather goods – they never fail to make me swoon over their new products. Their bags, tablet cases and pencil cases make the perfect addition to a book addict’s life – you never regret getting anything from them because everything is just so well made and will just get better with use. Thank you so much to Scaramanga for sending me this BEAUTIFUL leather tote bag and portfolio case – I honestly cannot imagine my life without them! The bag is lovely,  big and strong, so not only can I fit my notebooks, books and yummy snacks in when I’m on the go, but it also fits a laptop in so if ever a moment of inspiration strikes, I can get writing.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been big lover of Paperchase, whose wide range of stationery always results in a big shopping bag! I’m not a big fan of the “cutesy” ranges, but I definitely fall head of heals for their geometric, tonal and classic stationery.  Their notebooks are always gorgeous, which sometimes means I can’t bring myself to write in them, but of course if I do then I’ve got an excuse to replace them. My favourite thing at the moment is actually this bottle – the lovely people over at Paperchase sent me a few of their products to be able to share with my followers and this was one of them. The phrase “I don’t sweat I sparkle” always makes me smile and the inner half lid makes drinking out of the bottle very comfortable, so I always stay hydrated even when I’m totally engrossed in a book. It’s also really good for smoothies, so perfect for taking on the go to keep healthy and stop your sugar levels from dropping so you don’t accidently buy too many books – now wouldn’t that be awful…!

So you might not know this about me, but I’m a massive (obsessed) fan of raw chocolate. Since adopting a plant based, wholefoods lifestyle I no longer crave normal chocolate and instead find myself salivating at the thought of raw chocolate, which is both nutritious and delicious! Ombar was the first ever bar I tried and has remained a favourite to this day. The coconut flavour is especially good (I’m also obsessed with all things coconut) and their new Ombar Centres and buttons are incredible. They’re all particularly amazing for nibbling on with a mug of herbal tea whilst reading a good book, but just be warned that the whole bar or packet disappears very quickly… or is that just me? Thank you so much to the Ombar team for sending me some yummy treats, you would not believe the chocolatey heaven I was in when I opened the box!

Punch foods

I actually won a case of these in a giveaway by Punch Foods recently and they’ve turned out to be the best on the go snack. They’re really portable and are the perfect thing to slip into your (new Scaramanga!!) bag before you go out, so you know you’ve got an energy boost for those knackered dip moments.

The books I read this month are:

  • Cress by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles)
  • Winter by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles)
  • Stars Above by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles)
  • Fairest by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles)
  • The Shadow Queen by CJ Redwine (review coming to the blog soon)

You can read my review for The Lunar Chronicles here.

I was sent some of these amazing products by companies to be able to share with you, but that in no way sways my view of them, and I would only share products that I genuinely love. If you have a company with products related to the life of a bookworm that you’d like to see featured, don’t hesitate to get in touch at
